SYNOPSIS

Les bienveillants immerses itself in the world of the Tel-Aide Montreal telephone listening center, following a group of future volunteers who learn the art of empathetic listening. Through an intimate treatment, the film seeks to remind us of the importance of the presence of vigilant ears in a society where solitude is omnipresent.

Sarah Baril Gaudet is a director and cinematographer based in Montreal. She completed a bachelor's degree in cinema at the Université du Québec à Montréal where she was awarded the "Best Documentary Hope" scholarship. Her short film "Là où je vis" was selected in more than 20 international festivals. In 2020, she directed her first feature film: "Passage".
