Suvi West
Suvi West (b. 1982) has worked as an independent director, writer, and editor. Her credits include five short documentaries that have traveled internationally and her first feature documentary Me and My Little Sister in 2016. She is also the creator of the eight-part television series Märät Säpikkäät, which presents young Sámi in a humorous way and was named the best television series of 2012.

This documentary exposes the cultural genocide of the Sami people, made possible by the assimilation and colonization policies of the Finnish governments until today. Giving voice to these people, "Eatnameamet - Our Silent Struggle" shows their struggle to exist.
