Pierre Perrault is a filmmaker, poet, playwright and director for Quebec radio. He is particularly recognized for having contributed to the development; with Michel Brault, Bernard Gosselin and Marcel Carrière, among others, of direct cinema, which seeks to get closer to people's lives through light filming equipment and a dialogue with the filmed individuals.
