Courtney Montour, a Kanien'kehá:ka filmmaker, is known for directing projects that examine what it means to be Aboriginal. She worked with Alanis Obomsawin on Flat Rocks, which revealed the effects that the development of the St. Lawrence Seaway had on her home community of Kahnawake. Her first documentary, "Sex Spirit Strength", addresses the recovery of Aboriginal sexual health and geander identity.
