SYNOPSIS
À Kara-Kara, quartier marginalisé de Zinder au Niger, règne une culture de la violence entre gangs. Certains jeunes tentent de s’en sortir, fonder une famille parfois et s’offrir un avenir autre que celui de la prison. Aicha Macky, originaire de Zinder, filme au plus près leur quotidien partagé entre leur gang, la famille, la débrouille et cette volonté de sortir du cycle de violence dans laquelle ils se sont construits.

SEE COMPLETE PROFILEBorn in Zinder (Niger) in 1982, Aicha Macky is a filmmaker and activist. Trained in sociology, she then turned to documentary. She obtained a Master's degree in documentary film at the University Gaston Berger / Saint-Louis / Senegal, where she directed two short films "Moi et ma maigreur" (Me and my thinness) and "Savoir faire le lit" (Knowing how to make the bed), which address the theme of sexuality and the body. In 2016, she completed the multi-prime "L'arbre sans fruit" (co-production Les films du balibari / Maggia Images) which addresses the delicate issue of infertility and broadcast worldwide. In 2017, she founded her own production company, based in Niamey.
