Silvicola

In the vast forests of the Canadian West Coast, nature meets industry. Silvicola presents a gallery of captivating characters, revealing the challenges of commodifying this scarce natural resource.

SYNOPSIS

We are in one of the vast forests of the Canadian West Coast. A rugged forest, hidden beyond dozens of valleys and fjords, seemingly sheltered from all humanity. Nevertheless, the sound of a saw echoes through the mountains. It is here that nature, man, and machines begin their industrial waltz. Silvicola introduces a gallery of captivating characters to tell the story, in small touches, of powerful nature and the rampant commodification of a scarce natural resource. From their authentic and poetic voices emerge several lines of thought.
