SYNOPSIS
Against the austere winter landscape of Canada's Pacific coast, a dedicated wildlife rehabilitation team treats bald eagles suffering from lead poisoning, after ingesting hunter ammunition found in animal remains. Recovery presents a difficult paradox: the clinical interventions required to purge the toxin are often just as physically grueling as the poisoning itself. Through long, uninterrupted takes and a sparse soundscape, the film offers a detailed glimpse into the rigorous science and specialized care needed to stabilize these majestic birds. By focusing on the quiet, daily realities of treatment, it addresses the broader implications of a toxic system that binds the eagle's fate to our own. A meditative exploration of resilient, yet fragile, wilderness.
