Immigrants from Sub-Saharan Africa choose to start their lives anew north of the 49th parallel. Here, across the vast territory of Eeyou Istchee Baie-James, each and every one must relearn how to live to the rhythm of a season previously unknown to them: winter.

Retrospectives of his films have been presented in Morocco, Ukraine, and South Korea. He has also served as a jury member for numerous film festivals.
