Jason Todd is an emerging filmmaker based in Montreal, Canada. Having had the opportunity early in his career to work with established experimental filmmakers such as Karl Lemieux, he grew up with the desire to create narrative and documentary works with an experimental approach. Mistakes and improvisations are an important part of his creative process and risk-taking remains one of his main sources of motivation. Sous l'artillerie des moteurs (2021) is his first short documentary.
Under the Artillery of the Engines is a documentary essay set in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a heavily militarized rural state that still bears the scars of an unresolved 50-year-old conflict.
