Filmed in cinéma vérité between 2011 and 2022, Afrikki recounts a decade of struggles within the African civic and artistic movements of the 2010s.
Gaëlle Le Roy
French-Senegalese historian and filmmaker Gaëlle Le Roy documented the "Y’en A Marre" movement for a decade. Coordinator and photographer for the Partcours contemporary art collective in Dakar since 2017, she founded AlSo PRODUCTION in 2023 to post-produce her feature documentary Afrikki and develop artistic projects from Senegal.
