Stéphane Nepton was born on December 22, 1971 in Sept-Iles on the North Shore, he is from the Innu Nation of Mashteuiatsh. He has been a video game special effects artist for 22 years and is also a digital artist. Stéphane also co-founded Uhu labos nomades, one of his most beautiful social achievements. L'Innu du futur is his first short film straight out of the virtual studio of the Wapikoni cohort 2021. It is a very personal and poetic film. It is an ode to the territory in connection with his duality of identity as an urban Aboriginal person. Cinema is for him a magnificent canvas to give way to his artistic self-determination in a decolonized space.
