After years of relying on medical devices for her survival, director Dominique Leclerc turns to emerging technologies in search of alternative solutions. Posthumans follows her journey as she meets cyborgs, biohackers, and transhumanists who use technology to defy illness, aging, and even death. The documentary explores urgent ethical and political questions about the future of our species.

Dominique Leclerc is the author, co-director, and lead performer of the plays i/O and Post Humains, both finalists for the Michel-Tremblay Prize and presented across Quebec as well as at the International New Drama Festival at the Schaubühne in Berlin.
Her multidisciplinary approach explores the impact of emerging technologies on living beings. Posthumans, her first feature-length documentary — which she also wrote — tackles these same themes with nuance.
