Les perdants

Three candidates destined to lose expose deep inequalities in Quebec’s electoral system.

SYNOPSIS

Les perdants follows three candidates in the October 2022 provincial elections, each bound by a common fate: inevitable defeat. Through their campaigns, the film dissects the electoral system and its numerous flaws—additional obstacles for women and racialized candidates, dysfunctional voting system, inequitable funding, and media bias. A sharp and critical look at a political system that does not offer equal opportunities to all. If the race seems doomed from the start, it's because we are all losers in this electoral game.
