SYNOPSIS
A communist activist with Révolution Permanente and a CGT union representative at the Neuhauser industrial bakery in Moselle, Christian Porta is a combative militant, well-liked by all his colleagues. When he falls victim to an illegal dismissal due to his political commitment, his comrades react and a struggle immediately takes shape in an attempt to secure his reinstatement. Throughout this fight, solidarity begins to weave itself together in defence of a comrade who has been wronged, as the workers organise to resist anti-union repression. The film is a moving ode to the working class and to trade unionism. It is the story of a class struggle made victorious by the power of workers' solidarity.
