SYNOPSIS
Through a series of captivating vignettes, young people in search of a roommate look for that rare gem with whom to share both space and values. Living Together offers a nuanced and heartfelt portrait of a generation used to laying all the cards of their identity on the table. The film paints a mosaic of cultures and ideas, where notions of community, individualism, and housing rights intersect in constant motion.

Halima Elkhatabi
SEE COMPLETE PROFILETrained at the Institut national de l’image et du son, Montreal-based director and screenwriter Halima Elkhatabi works across documentary, fiction, and audio storytelling. She co-directed the collective documentary À St-Henri, le 26 août, directed the fiction short Nina (TIFF Canada's Top Ten in 2015), and created several podcasts including La route du bled, Chloé et Abdi, Songe d’une nuit d’hiver, and La route de l’Eldorado.
Living Together is her first feature-length documentary.
