Would you like to support Funambules Médias' mission?
Thanks to the support of the Conseil des arts de Montréal (Montreal Arts Council) through fiscal sponsorship, a tax receipt will be sent by the Council for donations of $25 or more. This program allows Funambules Médias to develop a culture of philanthropy and carry out fundraising activities approved by the Council under an agreement.
Since 2010, Funambules Médias' Cinéma sous les étoiles has offered free outdoor film screenings with a mission to promote social, political, and environmental documentary films, as well as to develop critical thinking through lively discussions about the works and the issues they address.
Since 2022, Cinéma à la carte has allowed us to screen films from our catalog year-round in theaters, film clubs, educational institutions, and citizen collectives, contributing to the accessibility of documentaries and their creators throughout Quebec.
Finally, our cultural mediation and film education activities introduce young people, and sometimes older people, to documentary cinema.
In 2024, for all of our projects, we organized more than a hundred screenings, attracting nearly 8,000 people. The vast majority of the presentations were followed by discussions with the filmmakers or specialists in the topics covered.
