Boubacar Sangare
Born in San, Mali in 1985, he earned degrees in both law and film and now works as a lawyer and filmmaker. Following four short films and a television production which he co-directed, Or de vie marks his feature-length debut.

In Burkina Faso, young men look under the earth for gold – and a better future. As a result, 16-year-old Rasmané barely seems like a teenager any more. This mainly observational film follows him into the 100-metre abyss of small-scale mining.
