SYNOPSIS
Using images filmed in Peru in 1950 by a foreign visitor, Víctor constructs a cinematic letter addressed to his young son. As the archival footage unfolds, the film interrogates the country the child is set to inherit, tracing a history marked by inequality, violence, and recurring promises of change. The images—once produced as observation—are reactivated as a space for reflection, doubt, and ethical questioning. Between heartbeats and ruins, the film resists nostalgia and instead confronts the persistence of structural injustice and collective disillusionment. Yet, within this bleak inheritance, the act of addressing the next generation opens a fragile space for hope: not as certainty, but as an insistence on care, memory, and responsibility toward the future.
